31 Hours Later

Last night at 11pm, we were met by family and friends at the airport after traveling for 31 hours. They must have truly missed us to have hugged us looking the way we did. C's sister had a full tray of home-baked goodies while my girlfriends were waving a baggie of cooked bacon. Hugs, tears, and laughter were shared as we waited for luggage and headed to vehicles. Our trip took a few more hours than anticipated as our flight to the US was delayed, causing us to miss our connection to our final destination. I'll admit, the tears were silently slipping over my eyes as we waited on Stand-by for two flights. The first was overbooked, but we made the 2nd one. By that point, I had been up for over 24 hours and was simply exhausted.

Thanks for thinking of us as we traveled. Continue asking for our safety as we drive several thousand miles within the next 30 days. We hope that throughout the miles we travel, we will be able to share a cup of coffee and catch up on life with many of you.
